Saints: How long could Alvin Kamara be banned?

Kamara was questioned by detectives after the Pro Bowl, as described by the athlete:

“Kamara was questioned by detectives at Allegiant Stadium after the Pro Bowl. Kamara said the victim called one of the members of his group ugly and the victim said, “I’m going to punch your ass too.” Kamara told detectives he saw a fight break out next to him and saw how the victim was hit, and then hit him too because he thought he was going to run away. Kamara said he didn’t know if he hit the victim while the victim was on the ground.”

After the incident, Roger Goodell said the league was looking into the incident:

“Our security team was contacted by the Las Vegas police just prior to the game to say they would like to meet with Alvin after the game,” he said at a press conference Wednesday before the Super Bowl. “Our team made sure of that.”

After this review, chances are the NFL will hit Kamara hard. He can appeal, but the judge for that appeal will be determined by the league office, which will do the Saints running back no favors.

Without Kamara, most of the hurrying load would fall on veteran running back Mark Ingram. Alvin Kamara is preparing for a key NFL suspension
