Allison Gollust, CEO of CNN, resigns from CNN

Managing CNN Allison Gollustwho has a relationship with the former network director Jeff Zucker led him to resign earlier this month, resigned from the network, CNN’s Brian Stelter report.
Gollust served as CNN’s chief marketing officer and senior vice president.
CEO of WarnerMedia – CNN’s parent company – Jason Kilar announced her resignation in a letter to employees. He claimed that an extensive third-party investigation found that Gollust, Zucker, and the former CNN host Chris Cuomo violated all company policies. The letter did not specify the violations.

Earlier today, Allison Gollust resigned from CNN following the conclusion of the Company’s investigation into matters involving Chris Cuomo and former Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Conducted by a third-party law firm and headed by a former federal judge, the investigation was comprehensive and definitive. It was commissioned in September and finished this weekend, now allow me to share more information with you. Based on interviews with more than 40 individuals and a review of more than 100,000 texts and emails, the investigation uncovered violations of Company policies, including the Company’s News Standards and Practices. I find this news disturbing, disappointing and frankly painful to read. These are valid feelings that many of you have.
We have the highest standards of journalistic integrity at CNN and those rules should apply equally to everyone. With the information provided to me in the investigation, I have good faith that we have taken the right actions and that the right decisions have been made.
I ask in this moment that we all commit to the important mission we share and the values that define us. CNN, WarnerMedia and this incredible team deserve that commitment.
Gollust was noticed earlier this month when Zucker resignation from CNN. He revealed that the pair had a relationship that he had to reveal, but didn’t. However, their relationship was said to be an open secret for a while, causing speculate Zucker left the network for other reason(s).
