All regional Pokémon forms from Paldea in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will take place in the Paldea region, which contains the ninth generation of Pokémon. There are several Pokemon unique to this region and several returning Pokemon from previous games. A handful of these Pokémon have exclusive regional forms. They resemble earlier forms, with clear differences and clear typifications. Some of them can also evolve into other Pokémon. This guide covers all of Paldea’s regional Pokémon forms in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple.
All Paldean Pokémon form into Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Paldean Wooper is very different from its traditional form. Wooper originally appeared in the Johto region as a water-type, and you would evolve him into Quagsire. For Scarlet and Violet, the Paldean Wooper is a poison and ground type with a much more tragic story.
Wooper previously inhabited the underwater reaches of Paldea before further human settlements took shape. Now that they’ve slowly moved into his territory, Wooper has had to leave these underground places and make his way to swamps, covering himself in mud to hydrate himself. It gave her form a poisonous film. It’s very different from the traditional Wooper, but it dramatically changes the Scarlet and Purple Pokédex.
Supposedly, Wooper will have a unique evolution form, but that information was not shared during the Pokémon Presents video revealed on August 3rd.
We’ll update this guide as we get more information about Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
