The Tangled Depths map has a number of different levels and feelings. It’s filled with various challenges including a map meta event and some challenging enemies. It also has mastery insights that players can interact with to earn mastery points needed to gain the various new abilities from the mastery path. There are a total of five Mastery Insight Points on the Tangled Depths map, previously there were six but one has been removed due to an error in its location.
This Mastery Insight Point is located in the Tangled Descent area. The easiest way to reach it is to start at the nearby waypoint – the waypoint of the Order of Whispers camp – and go from there. It’s located one level below the waypoint, and to access it you need to look for a cave with a waterfall on the bottom. There are no significant enemies and you can reach this waypoint by gliding or by riding a mount.
This insight point is located near the Dragon Passage waypoint. From here, head towards the back of the cave, away from the waypoint. You will find a number of thermals that you will want to take your glider to the top. Once at the top, enter a greener cave area, go up and to the right of the cave, use the thermals or a mountain if necessary.
You will encounter some enemies, but nothing too serious. Follow the small tunnel until you see a hole made out of the same dark blue colored rock you encountered at the waypoint. Drop into this hole, and when you see a small ledge of rock, activate your glider or flying mount’s ability. There will be a Veteran Cave Spitter guarding the insight point.
This Mastery Insight Point is not complicated to find. You should start at the Ley-Line Confluence Waypoint, which is on the bottom layer of the map. From there, go up the alley. Note that there are meta events happening here, so you may have a lot of enemies to fend off. You can use the ley line glide if you have the mastery or a skyscale to get the point. The point itself is in a round tube at the end of the lane.
The following insight is located in the lower level of the map. You should start again at the Ley-Line Confluence Waypoint, this time going up SCAR Lane. The waypoint is in a skeleton on one of the ribs on the left side of the cave. You can fly up on a mount or use Bouncing Mushrooms to get there. You’ll have to fight some enemies if you take the longer route instead of flying straight to the point. However, you don’t have to fight the Elite Chak if you’re careful.
This mastery insight point requires a bit of walking. Start at the Teku Nohoch waypoint, then climb the winding path. If you’re not using a mount, you’ll likely have to fight a few enemies. Once you reach the friendly Teku Nohoch’s village, you must either glide or use your mount to head south. After a while you will come across some Bouncing Mushrooms. If you don’t have a mount, you’ll need to use it to reach the Insight Point on the right.
