ALDI is recalling popular meal ingredient Fresh Salad Co’s Fresh and Fast Stir Fry Mix 450g due to “fear of illness”.

A fresh pan mix sold in ALDI supermarkets across Victoria is being recalled over fears it could cause disease as it may contain unsafe plant material.
Food Standards Australia has issued a recall notice for Fresh Salad Co’s Fresh & Fast Pan Mix 450g with an expiration date of 24 December.

The regulator said the recall was “due to possible contamination with unsafe plant material.”
It said: “Products containing unsafe plant material may cause disease if eaten.”
“Consumers should not eat this product and return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund,” the statement said.
“Any consumer who is concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
Food Standards Australia advised people with concerns about their health to see a doctor.
