Alabama fans handle close duel with Texas as badly as possible

Alabama fans messed with Texas and are likely to have a bad time afterwards.

In the battle of aight vs. alright, alright, alright, things aren’t right for Alabama fans, aight, so stop asking!

With half a football game still to play, Alabama is tied with Texas by 10 to 2 points. Even though Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers has sustained what appears to be a serious injury, it could be an option for Hudson Card and the boys Big lunch on Saturday. The Longhorns have not returned since Texas lost to Alabama in the 2009 national championship.

Crimson Tide fans equate Pete Golding’s defense with Vietnam flashbacks.

Rest raw…

If Alabama loses to Texas, Steve Sarkisian becomes the third former assistant to Nick Saban to beat him, joining Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher and Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, both of whom have been there in the past have made the season.

Alabama fans go crazy after first half vs Texas, aight

Though Texas tends to go haywire in the second half for #AllGasNoBrakes reasons and Sarkisian still has that Dan Quinn Atlanta Falcons streak, Alabama is a superior second-half squad. The Crimson Tide makes adjustments between halves, so stop wondering if the dynasty is dead. Texas may be better than expected, but this is Alabama!

At the start of the season, the Crimson Tide were the overwhelming favorites to win the College Football Playoffs. With the exception of the 2019 campaign, they’ve made it to the big dance every season since their inception. The Crimson Tide fell to Georgia in the rematch in Indianapolis after they defeated the Dawgs in Atlanta to win the SEC. These two teams can win the whole thing.

As far as Texas is concerned, people will be clamoring for the return of the Longhorns if they defeat the Crimson Tide. That may force the issue into the ongoing narrative, but they won’t be officially back this time around until they win the Big 12 and reach the college football playoffs in the current four-team format. Once the playoff model changes, we need to recalibrate what it really means to be back.

If Golding gets a Saban ass-swallow in the guts of DKR, it might hit well, well, well.
