Al-Feiha brutally mocks Cristiano Ronaldo with edited Lionel Messi photo after Al Nassr draw

Cristiano Ronaldo was brutally taunted by Saudi club Al Feiha after a goalless draw against Al Nassr. The post has since gained traction on social media.
Al-Feiha poked fun at Cristiano Ronaldo by referring to a famous Louis Vuitton promotion where he appeared alongside Lionel Messi ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
How was the Portuguese striker mocked?
On the top of the case, which was intended to house the World Cup trophy, the pair could be seen playing chess above the brand’s signature checkerboard pattern. The ad received international attention, which was not surprising given that it was shared on the Instagram pages of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Vuitton.
Al-Feiha has now made a sly reference to this advertisement in a tweet slandering Ronaldo. The Portuguese legend was ineffective against Al-Feiha on Sunday as his Al Nassr side remained goalless in the league.
Ronaldo stormed off the field and in desperation removed his captain’s armband as his team’s title hopes were dashed. Al-Nassr now has 53 points from 23 league games, three fewer than leaders Al-Ittihad, who beat Al-Wehda 2-1 the next day.

The opposing Saudi club was quick to mock the striker in a post on his official twitter account. Al-Feiha’s tweet, seen above, shows club captain Sami Al-Khaibari sitting next to Cristiano Ronaldo in Lionel Messi’s place. The caption read “Checkmate”. As of the writing of the article, the post has received 2.9 million views.
Many fans saw the funny side and appreciated the good banter. But the Portuguese striker’s fans were quick to point out Ronaldo’s importance and defend him.
Cristiano Ronaldo so far with Al Nassr
Manchester United parted ways with Cristiano Ronaldo in November 2021. This comes after Portugal’s Piers Morgan gave an explosive interview about the club’s management. After no top European club showed interest, he joined Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr in January. He was offered a contract that made him the highest paid player in the world.
Cristiano Ronaldo was named Saudi Professional League’s Player of the Month in February after scoring eight goals and providing two assists. Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 11 goals in nine Saudi Pro League games with Al Nassr FC. In total, he has scored 11 goals in 11 games for the Riyadh side.
Since arriving in Riyadh, he has significantly increased the league’s popularity. If Ronaldo fails to win the league title, his time in Saudi Arabia will be seen as a failure and already many see the former Manchester United striker’s decision to leave European football and join Al-Nassr as a step backwards.
Next, Ronaldo and Al Nassr meet city rivals Al Hilal on Wednesday.
