After Patriots Post Another Outrageous Win, Bills Hold on AFC East Looks Much Less Certain – The Athletic

CHARLOTTE, NC – Three weeks ago, Patriots is 2-4, after losing the last second overtime with Dallas Cowboys. Some players claim the 2-4 record doesn’t tell the whole story.

Three weeks later, those statements seem predictable.

On Sunday, The Patriots defeated the Panthers 24-6 for their third straight win. And for the third week in a row, they made things easy despite the uneven performance at times. The Patriots are now above ,500 for the first time since Week 3 of the 2020 season.

Patriotic players are treating wins equally as they handle losses.

“One game at a time,” said Matthew Judon after collecting the season’s ninth sack. “If you ask anyone on the team, that’s how we’re doing it. We’ve had some tough games, some tough losses, but right now it’s one-on-one. We have to keep winning and not get too far ahead of ourselves.”

What spooked the rest of the conference (and possibly the AFC East chiefs in Buffalo), was how easily the Patriots defense did this. Again. The same protection created brave cat look at people and wry Justin Herbert on multiple interceptions gave Carolina a four-quarter match in a row.

On their first seven properties, Panthers has 34 yards of offense. The Patriots forced three or three deployments during that time period.
