AFL star Daisy Thomas retired after tooth ‘fell off’ in car: ‘It tastes weird’

Retired AFL superstar Dale Thomas has never been one to turn down a challenge and has shown in the past that he will try anything.

When Thomas’ tooth fell out, he knew all he had to do was put super glue back on himself without going to the dentist.

In a series of Instagram Stories on Saturday afternoon, the Channel 7 commentator hilariously takes his followers on a journey of what happened to his tooth.

“Just on my way to the track to do my work for Pointsbet on Channel 7, my front tooth decided to fall off,” Thomas said as he began his Instagram Story.

“There it is, we found it,” he says happily and shows his tooth in his hand at the camera.

The former Magpies and Blues star then decides getting his tooth glued back in is the best plea.

“Quickly stop at Safeway to get some superglue and cross your fingers when you see me at the first intersection, it should be as good as new,” Thomas continues while revealing a superglue he’s using just bought.

Thomas then arrives at his “makeshift dentist studio”.

“We’ve just arrived in beautiful Flemington and are now in the makeshift dentist’s office so here’s the plan,” Thomas said as he continued the video from the front seat of his car.

“I turn the air to max, drive out the tooth, add the superglue and then hopefully it will hold.”

Thomas then gets to work while trying to push his tooth back with the superglue.

“Shit, it’s stuck to my fingers!” Thomas said as the superglue stuck to his fingers.

“It tastes funny.”

Finally, Thomas uses his media accreditation badge to slide the tooth into place.

“Use the media badge to stick it on,” Thomas said as he finished the process with a smile and a tooth in his mouth.

The Instagram story then continues with Thomas wearing his suit to the races and smiling brightly while having his tooth replaced as he declares: “End result!! … touching wood … 2 races back … 7 to go.”
