Adam Wainwright attacks Rob Manfred

Players at St. Louis Cardinals, Adam Wainwright criticized Rob Manfred when talking about the MLB commissioner’s relationship with the players.
Everything looks bad for 2022 MLB season when the league and the MLB Association PLayer go one term after another without agreement. In the end, the two sides finally voted to agree to a new collective bargaining agreement that would guarantee a 162-match season that would begin on April 7.
Following the approval, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred told the media he felt he had succeeded in having a good relationship with the players. The pitcher in St. Louis Cardinals, Adam Wainwright, bluntly responded to Manfred’s comments, which you can read below, courtesy of baseball journalist Jake Steiner of the Associated Press (h/t ABC News).
“To be frank, he did nothing for us,” said Wainwright. “I know how that goes, so Commissioner Manfred, don’t take it personally. That’s just how it looks from the player’s point of view. ”

A lot of players have been asked how Manfred can improve, which you can see in the link provided above.
The shutdown was implemented back in early December and lasted a total of 99 days. In fact, there was a gap of 43 days before the tournament took place and its owner made an offer to the players’ federation. After several deadlines failed to lead to an agreement, the league “canceled” the first two weeks of the season. However, those matches are now back on schedule with a CBA in place.
After the vote was passed, Manfred spoke to the media, where he apologized to fans for the extended lockdown period. In addition, Manfred said he hopes that players see the deal as a “Olive branches.”
Manfred hopes that he can repair the relationship with the players. Only time will tell.
