Activision Blizzard employees are planning another strike for the coming week. This message comes from a Twitter user @ABetterABKan account dedicated to the ABK Workers Alliance, which strives to bring about change and improvement within the Activision Blizzard organization.
In a post, @ABetterABK states that employees will stage a walkout on Monday, April 4 at 10:00 am PT to protest Activision Blizzard’s decision to cancel vaccination orders at the company. The Twitter thread goes on to discuss a list of demands made by the ABK Workers Alliance:
- An immediate lifting of the now reduced vaccination requirement.
- Remote working as a permanent option for employees.
- The decision to work remotely or in the office is entirely in the hands of the employees themselves.
The decision to remove vaccines will also come into effect with the cessation of other COVID-19 precautions such as mask-wearing and social distancing regulations.
brian bulatao, in a statement, further elaborated on its leaked statement, saying that the company allows employees to work under a voluntary return policy for the office and that each of the three organizations are free to enforce their own individual vaccine mandates as needed.
Activision Blizzard has been involved in several employee protests and strikes over the past few months, the largest of which has been a series of complaints and filings alleging workplace sexual harassment, which saw the company’s stock tank.
