Accident at Glengarry: One dead, child critical to life after car crash in Gippsland

One person has died and one child is in critical condition after a serious car accident involving multiple vehicles in Gippsland.
The accident, involving three cars and seven people, happened on Traralgon-Maffra Road and Farmers Road in Glengarry at 3.49pm on Tuesday.
The driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene. They have not been identified.

The child, an elementary school-age boy, is in critical condition with injuries to his upper body.
He is expected to be flown to the hospital.
Another man is being taken to Traralgon Public Hospital in stable condition.
According to the CFA, one person is currently trapped.
SES, police and paramedics are on site.
“The exact cause has yet to be determined and detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit will visit the scene,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
The incident is ongoing.
