ABERDEEN, MD (WJZ)- Amtrak officials say services between New York and Washington DC are currently suspended due to a train derailment in the Aberdeen area of Harford County.
The derailed train has been identified as a Norfolk Southern freight train, but it is not clear what caused the derailment and whether any damage was caused by the incident.

Amtrak customers with reservations for trains that are being changed will typically be accommodated on trains with similar departure times or on a different day.

Amtrak is waiving additional charges for customers who wish to change their reservation during the changed schedule by calling the Reservations Center at 1-800-USA-RAIL.
