A$AP Rocky ‘distracted’ amid Rihanna’s cheating and split buzz

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are still going strong, but sources tell us the rapper wasn’t quite himself after false cheating and breakup rumors surfaced on Twitter on Thursday.

Rocky attended a launch party for his new Mercer + Prince whiskey at Nebula nightclub in Times Square, and sources described him as “very distracted and unfocused” during a fireside chat about the liquor.

“He struggled to string sentences together but emerged to endorse and support his new ‘Baby’ whiskey liqueur,” a source told Page Six.

Rocky was three hours late for the special occasion and “immediately went to the private VIP room to autograph his bespoke and designed bottles for the guests,” we’re told.

“He was supposed to blend in with the crowd but didn’t stay as long as planned,” the source said.

Another source told us “he seemed off the mark.”

“He’s usually a smooth talker. He’s usually very charming and funny,” the source said.

Rumors circulated on Twitter Thursday that Rocky and Rihanna, who are expecting their first child, broke up hours before he started drinking amid cheating allegations.

Influencer Louis Pisano claimed on Twitter The musical couple split after Rocky cheated on her with shoe designer Amina Muaddi. However, another source told Page Six: “They are fine. It is not true.”

“It’s so wild how someone can just tweet something and people run around with it. That’s not true,” they said.

Meanwhile, Muaddi, the shoe designer behind the Fenty 2020 collection, called the allegations an “unfounded lie”.

She issued a statement on her Instagram Story on Friday, denying any involvement with Rocky.

“I’ve always believed that an unfounded lie spread on social media doesn’t deserve an answer or clarification, especially when it’s so heinous,” she said. “I initially assumed that this bogus gossip, invented with such malicious intent, would not be taken seriously.

“However, in the last 24 hours I have been reminded that we live in a society that is so quick to talk about issues, regardless of the factual basis, and that nothing is taboo.

“Not even during one of the most beautiful and celebrated times in life,” Muaddi continued, referencing Rihanna’s pregnancy.

The designer ended her statement by wishing everyone a “happy Easter weekend” as Rihanna continues to “live her quiet, best-dressed pregnancy life.”

Rocky and Rihanna representatives did not comment.
