“Preliminary investigations indicate that around 9.45pm a man armed with a blue knife entered the Gray Street store,” Queensland Police said.
“He demanded money from the employee who complied and was last seen walking out of the store towards Vulture St.”
According to police, he is described as a slim-built white man with an Australian accent, between the ages of 20 and 30.
He wore black shoes, black pants, a long-sleeved red and gray plaid shirt, a black baseball cap and covered his face with a white shirt.
“The man also appeared to have an injured left foot as he was wearing a splint over his sock,” police said.
Dutton Park detectives seek public help to find him. The investigations are ongoing.
Anyone who may have seen the man in the area last night, or who has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, has been urged to contact Crimestoppers.
