A woman’s body has been recovered after a deadly house fire broke out on Bellnore Drive in Norlane

A woman’s body has been recovered in a deadly house fire in Victoria.

Emergency services were called to an address on Bellnore Drive in Norlane, some 67km from Melbourne, around 11.45pm on Monday following reports of the fire.

Firefighters entered the site and removed the body of a woman believed to be in her 60s, according to police.

The woman could not be revived.

Another resident of the property, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital as a precaution.

A crime scene guard is on site and an arson chemist will visit the crime scene.

Police are currently investigating the circumstances of the fire but it is not believed there is any suspicion at this time.
