A woman kidnapped the Grizzlies’ farm after chaining herself to the back of a basket

For the second straight postseason round, the NBA is grappling with protesters disrupting the Minnesota Timberwolves’ games when a woman chained herself to the back of the basket during Game 1 of their playoff series against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Not even a week after Glue Girl in the Twin Cities, this postseason spawned Chain Woman on the banks of the Mississippi. This river flows fine in mid-April. God only knows what could happen if the Timberwolves played another Mississippi City in the New Orleans Pelicans in the Western Conference playoffs this spring.

There is no reason to give these people any ideas as they are very creative themselves.

Kleber was no match for safety, and neither was a chain.

It’s been a long time since the Timberwolves were playoff-eligible, so everyone is in a rare mood.

Though clearly tied to Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor and the chicken slaughter, Memphis is the higher seed and should reach the Western Conference semifinals in this best-of-seven series.

With Taylor eventually handing over full control of the franchise to Alex Rodriguez, the oft-criticized majority owner will eventually be out of the picture. Then again, this is the first time the Timberwolves have been consistently good since Kevin Garnett was their top player almost two decades ago. These protests are only allowed to continue as long as the Timberwolves are playing.

With a strong core of Anthony Edwards, D’Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns, the Timberwolves are finally looking like a team to stay in the deep Western Conference. As for the Grizzlies, they have a real superstar in Ja Morant leading the point. He has the potential to become, without a doubt, the greatest player in the history of the Grizzlies franchise. Here’s this series that lives up to the hype.

Expect security to be even tighter following this latest protest during a Timberwolves playoff game.
