The ten-year-old is believed to have been at Mossfiel Primary School in Hoppers Crossing for four hours without being spotted before finally calling Triple-0 for help around 7pm on Monday.

Emergency services had to enter one of the classrooms to free her before she was wrapped in a blanket and reunited with her mother.
7NEWS understands the girl’s mother had been frantically searching for the girl, not realizing she was trapped.
Neither the school nor the Ministry of Education have provided any information as to how the girl was locked in the building.
“The health and well-being of all students is our top priority,” said a department spokesman.
“An incident at a primary school last night is being investigated to determine the circumstances.”
Victoria Police said the girl was unharmed.
