A New South Wales motorcyclist has died in a crash in Fernbank, Victoria

A New South Wales woman was killed when her motorcycle crashed into a tree in a Victorian country town.

The 56-year-old woman was traveling with a group on the Bairnsdale-Dargo Road in the small country town of Fernbank.

Her motorcycle left the road around 2:25 p.m. on Monday and crashed into a tree.

The woman from Elderslie in New South Wales died at the scene of the accident.

The police are investigating the accident and how it happened.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have information is asked to contact police.
