“A 4th title and Finals MVP is missing from his resume” Shannon Sharpe believes Stephen Curry would move to the NBA’s Mount Rushmore if the Warriors win the 2022 championship

Stephen Curry has won it all and branded himself as one of the most successful players in the league. But Shannon Sharp reckons that winning the Finals MVP award will put him atop the NBA world’s “Mount Rushmore,” which the 3-point king obviously has yet to get his hands on.
The Golden State Warriors won the series against the Dallas Mavericks, winning their 6th Western Conference title in the last 8 seasons. The Stephen Curry-led “Golden State Dynasty” proved too hot for the Mavs, who salvaged the wipeout in the Conference Finals. Stephen Curry shaped the series throughout the postseason with playmaking, goals and even key defensive plays for the team. Shannon Sharpe praised the Warriors megastar and also expects him to be included in the NBA roster of GOAT players in the past – provided he wins the championship with Finals MVP award.
Shannon Sharp was on “Undisputed” where he and Skip Bayless discussed the Western Conference Finals. Sharp praised Finals MVP winner Stephen Curry. The former NFL star pointed out that the three-time champion is only missing a Finals MVP on his résumé, arguing that if Curry gets it, he will be in the top 10 best players in NBA history.
An impressive CV of Stephen Curry and his performance after the 2022 season
Baby Faced Assassin, as you know, was a sniper on the pitch – and lived up to his name. He finished second in the Rookie of the Season award but maintained his form over the next few seasons. The Warriors, who later teamed with Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, began improving their season performances and made regular playoff appearances.

After that, the Warriors made five straight NBA Finals appearances and had famous face-offs against LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers team. With 3 wins from these finals, the Warriors maintained their dominance in the league. Meanwhile, Stephen Curry won 2 scoring titles and 2 regular-season MVP awards. He led the league in steals in 2016 and was a member of the unique 50-40-90 club. He became the all-time all-time leading 3-point scorer in the regular season, breaking Ray Allen’s record.
In the current 2022 season, Stephen led the Warriors in goals and took them to the playoffs. Also in the postseason games, he averaged a modest 26 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in 16 games played. His influential performance saw him win the first-ever Western Conference Finals MVP award, in addition to the All-Star MVP award won earlier in the year, and is now aiming for the highest honor in the league.
If Curry manages to win the title this season, Shannon said, “He will be one of six players to have two regular season MVPs, four titles and one Finals MVP, joining (Michael) Jordan, LeBron (James), Magic (Johnson) and (Tim) Duncan. And we think Jordan, LeBron, Magic and Duncan are on Mount Rushmore. He would join this group. A very, very elite group.”
Warriors are awaiting the winner of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics, until then Steph and co. can enjoy the conference success and make plans for possible opponents.
