You probably have some questions. It’s a natural reaction when you find out that one of your games has been replaced by a body double with a nerfed butt. Your concern is understandable, and you should know what you’re getting into if you do need to start work on this year’s “Top 5 Butts In over watch“ YouTube video as soon as possible. Have your phone number ready

Beginners are spoiled (unless they give money to Blizzard)
In the same September 27 blog, Blizzard said it was testing a new way to soften the initial surveillance 2 Gain Experience and Prevent Fraud: Any account created on or after October 4th will be subject to First Time User Experience (FTUE).
The FTUE limits prospective accounts by:
- Enforcement of initial account restrictions, including restricted game modes and heroes. FTUE players will not be able to access Competitive Mode until they complete 50 Quickplay matches.
- Players have to go through two stages – the first unlocks all game modes and in-game chat, the second requires completing about 100 games and unlocks all old ones over watch heroes
Although surveillance 2 is a supposedly free-to-play game, anyone who has purchased the Watchpoint Pack, a $39.99 content cluster featuring a Premium Battle Pass for Season 1, Legendary Hero skins, virtual currency and more, will mysteriously avoid FTUE . With similar esotericism, Blizzard seems to have removed the pack from its store (but console sites still selling it).
Anyhow, welcome over watchis 5v5
You probably expected over watch 2‘s core gameplay overhaul that has shifted the shooter out of its 6v6 setup and into more traditional 5v5 territory since the beta launched this summer. Consider this your reminder that it is fully here and happening.
5v5 will strip teams of one tank, meaning they will only have one instead of their previous two. As a result, teams will become more vulnerable to damage, players will need to become more strategically active, and tanks will need to play as strong and faithful as ever.
Portrait layers, borders showing players’ rank and skills are gone. The experience will instead flow into leveling your Battle Pass, Blizzard wrote a blog from September 28tha themed, seasonal floodgate for Over 80 cosmetic unlockable items.
In addition, the following will be replaced, removed or changed:
- “SR” or Skill Rating: are replaced by skill tier divisions. “Tier divisions represent the same skill levels as SR, but they give players a better view of where they rank in competitive,” Blizzard wrote in this Sept. 28 blog. “Each division represents roughly a 100 SR area. Players will receive a competitive update every seven wins or 20 losses instead of every single match.” Competitive mode will keep its levels, bronze, silver, gold, etc. “Each tier will have five divisions, ranging from 5 (lowest) to 1 (highest),” Blizzard wrote. “As you progress through each tier, your division counts down until you advance to the next tier. The top 500 will not have tier divisions.”
- Competitive Skill Levels: While competitive levels remain, they will not be displayed prior to games. Instead player will see a scoreboard. Unlike the scoreboard, which frustrated players along the way surveillance 2In the beta phase of , no medals will be displayed on this finished scoreboard.
- Placement: Your competitive rank is something of a blank slate surveillance 2. You’ll only be ranked after “your first competitive update after your first seven wins or 20 losses,” Blizzard wrote on Sept. 28. Returning players will have their ranks changed “post-launch,” and Blizzard warns that they “might find their rank slightly lower when they start, as they’ll learn new concepts and metas.” But Blizzard also obscurely writes that “Players who have learned more about the game in our betas or follow the Overwatch League may be ranked higher than ever.”
- Competition Bonuses: The top 500 leaderboards and competitive points stay in, but prizes like animated sprays and icons are out. In addition, Competitive Points will be “capped at the highest skill level you achieve in any of your roles.” 3,000 CP earns you a Golden Gun for one of surveillance 2‘s newest or existing heroes.
Go ahead and ping someone
To relieve the voice chat a bit, Blizzard adds a “ping” system. To ping someone or something, you need to press your device’s “ping” button, which you can find in surveillance 2‘s settings (on a keyboard it’s “G”; on a controller it stays on the D-pad). You can use this to alert teammates to locations or enemies, and different types of pings will trigger different confirmation dialogs from heroes, lines like “Attack,” “Defend,” or “Need Help.”
Try out new game modes, “Push” and more

- Receive up to 30% ultimate power refund when swapping out any hero type, not just DPS heroes
- However, only DPS heroes receive a 25% increase in movement and reload speed after being eliminated
- Junker Queens Command Shout has been toned down. His allied health bonus has been halved from 100 to 50 HP, his ally duration has been reduced from 5 seconds to 3 seconds, and his cooldown has been reduced from 11 seconds to 15 seconds.
- Orisas Base health increased from 250 to 275, her base armor made the same jump, and her energy spear cooldown dropped from 8 seconds to 6 seconds
- D.Vas Increased the booster’s impact damage from 10 to 25, reduced the cooldown of her Micro Missiles by one second, and reduced her Summon Mech Ultimate cost by 12%.
- Brigittes Reduced the duration of the Inspire healing ability by one second
- Baptistes The Biotic Launcher’s primary fire damage has been increased by one point and its minimum falloff range has been increased from 20 to 25 meters
- The oppressive squat Merciful can launch you vertically during her Guardian Angel move, and you can launch a safe Angelic Descent by holding Crouch in the air
