50 Cent’s estranged son Marquise is suing his father over previous $6,700 child support payments that fell short of his NYC lifestyle standards

50 cents oldest son, Marquis JacksonHe’s managed to make his fractured relationship with the rapper a topic of social banter once again. The 25-year-old joined former rapper Choke No Choke on Instagram Live, where he struggled to hit 50 for not allowing him a lavish upbringing.

During the lively discussion, Marquise said the G-Unit boss pays $6,700 a month in child support payments, for a total of $81,000 a year. In his opinion, his father’s payments were insufficient for the lifestyle Marquise wanted to live in New York City.

“You’re talking about a Forbes lister, you’re talking about someone who has trouble with everyone, you can’t just live in any neighborhood,” the rapper’s look-alike claimed. He continued, “$81,000 is not a significant amount of money. You can’t just live anywhere. If you’re talking about struggling with everyone in the industry, you can’t just live anywhere.

Choke tried to intervene by saying that Marquise’s mother, Shaniqua Tompkins, should have received an additional $6,700, bringing the total to $13,000 a month. Still, the aspiring emcee said 50 should have given him a solid financial footing to start his life.

“If I told you right now, you need to start over and rebuild your life on $6,700 a month, can you do it? … I know how it feels to have nothing, okay. I had to rebuild my life on $6,700 a month. $81,000 a year,” he added. The ‘Power’ co-creator ended his mandatory child support payments in 2017. He has previously said the rift between him and his son has a lot to do with the younger lyricist feeling entitled. His fans agreed, many holding 50 and his decision to sever all ties with Marquise.

“That’s why he killed his son in Power,” one person commented.

“Meanwhile he said make a baby of mine make a millionaire guess he didn’t mean her,” wrote another commenter.

Someone else commented, “These celebrity kids feel so RIGHTED. Receive. A. DANGER. JOB!”

“Then move! I would move that money to another state and live lavishly TF…ungrateful.

And more than one person liked a comment that read, “I understand why he doesn’t like this kid.”

In 2020, the ‘Den of Thieves’ actor said the situation between him and Marquise was sad and that he had tried to make amends over the years, but his efforts had been shunned. “I didn’t think success would cost me my firstborn, but this [is] the situation,” he told TMZ. “My grandfather used to say, ‘If it rattles like a snake, slide like a snake, is it a snake or do you need to be bitten?’ What he’s saying is that every time you see the boy, he shows up with someone you have a problem with. What does that tell you?” he added.
