The Cowboys scored a tight win in Washington in Week 14, but here are five predictions for why things will be easy for Dallas at home Sunday night.
Dallas and Washington went head-to-head just two weeks ago, but NFL schedulers have them going head-to-head again in this week’s edition of Sunday Night Football. The Cowboys won the Week 14 encounter by a narrow seven points. Let’s expect Mike McCarthy and his team to win the home field of this rivalry more comfortably.
COVID-19 is wreaking havoc on Ron Rivera’s roster right now, which will likely have a massive impact on this game. Even when fit, Washington will struggle to deal with Dallas’ attack on their home turf.
Dak Prescott will count on his attack to hold up much better than they did just two weeks ago. Defending football and producing big plays will be the Cowboys’ command of the day on Sunday. Keep a close eye on the team’s No. 3 expansion for a major impact on Washington’s second-place team.
5. Michael Gallup will make a pass over 30 yards
Gallup would comfortably be one of the top two contenders for almost every team in the league. In Dallas, he’s relegated to 3rd place behind Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb.
That prevents Gallup from increasing the catch he wants weekly. However, it didn’t stop him from stretching the defense vertically with his elite speed. Look for him to get behind the safety of Washington to play big early in the game to loosen things up for Prescott and Dallas’ offense.
