4 shots, 1 stabbing in a Spanish nightclub
MADRID — Four people were shot dead and another injured by a knife at a nightclub in southern Spain, police said on Monday.
Two of the shots were in serious condition, police said in a statement. They are an Irish man and woman.
The person who was stabbed is said to have fired the shots and is being arrested. He is in serious condition with injuries to his chest and head, police said.
Police did not say what could have sparked the violence, which erupted after midnight on Sunday in Marbella, a popular resort on Spain’s Costa del Sol. The police did not give the names of those involved.
