NS Atlanta Falcons’12 game week with Jacksonville Jaguars is a must-win as they try to maintain their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages. This is why we will be looking at the Falcons-Jaguars game with predictions in mind.
Atlanta had a disappointing performance first New England Patriots like they used to be clearly beat 25-0. While they lost, the Falcons were still on the playoff hunt in a tight NFC race. However, there will be room for improvement on both sides of the ball, especially when they are so inconsistent.
It’s been a great week to get back on track with the Jaguars. Jacksonville has struggled this season and is still in rebuild mode. Trevor Lawrence was picked as No. 1 overall but hasn’t played well so far. While Jaguar is not playing great, Atlanta still needs to come out with a strong effort.
That being said, here are four bold predictions for the Falcons Week 12 game against the Jaguars.
Atlanta Falcons Week 12 Predictions
4. Kyle Pitts Leads the Falcons in Receiving
After star Calvin Ridley stepped away from football to focus on mental health, Atlanta has yet to solidify a new top target. Kyle Pitts needs to step up and become Matt Ryan’s top target.
Pitts, brought in by Atlanta with the fourth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, is a versatile player. He can line up anywhere on attack and is a nightmare for defence. In the season, Pitts has 43 receptions 635 yards and one touch down. These are solid numbers for rookies, but if Atlanta wants to make it to the playoffs, they need the Pitts to play better.
Against a weak Jacksonville defence, he should have put on a stellar performance.
3. Falcon pressured Trevor Lawrence all games
Despite the Falcons’ loss to the Patriots last week, they can still put pressure on the quarterbacks. They had three sack hits and five midfield hits.
The Jaguars have been unable to defend Lawrence for most of the season, as he was fired three times last week against the San Francisco 49ers.
Atlanta should be able to keep Lawrence under power behind their defence.
2. Matt Ryan has a bouncy performance
Matt Ryan struggled heavily against the Patriots, which resulted in the offense being stamped out. Ryan threw just 153 yards with no touch and two interceptions.
Against a bad Jaguars defense, Ryan and the Falcons attack will have a comeback performance. This season, Ryan has thrown 2,427 yards along with 15 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions.
While it hasn’t been a great season, Ryan is still a proven veteran who can lead his team to victory.
1. The Falcon wins
The Falcons needed to win after their terrible loss. Although it would be a tall order, Atlanta has the potential to get through season after season. They have a better roster and training at the moment, which should propel the Falcons to victory.
If they leave with a win, they will be right back in the playoff race in the tight NFC zone. The top five teams all got a spot in the first seed, leaving the bottom two spots to the Wild Card teams. While the Falcons don’t have the talent to make a Super Bowl, it would be nice to make it to the knockouts.
This will build chemistry on the team when the Falcons come on board next season. Atlanta should beat the Jaguars to improve to 5-6 in the campaign.
