BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that killed a man and wounded three others in the northwestern Pimlico neighborhood on Saturday, authorities say.
Officers on patrol in northwest Baltimore responded at 5:23 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 5300 block of Maple Avenue

There they found two men with gunshot wounds. One of them – a 31-year-old man – was dead, police said.
The other man sustained life-threatening injuries. An ambulance took him to a local hospital, according to authorities.
Afterwards, detectives learned that two other men had arrived at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the shooting.
The men who sustained survivable gunshot wounds were 32, 36 and 38 years old‘ the police said.
Police records show this is the second time in less than a week that homicide detectives have been asked to investigate a fatal shooting in that part of Baltimore.
On April 10, police responded to a shooting at the 5500 block of Narcissus Avenue in a neighborhood bordering Pimlico.
This day They found a 39-year-old man with gunshot woundsa wrecked vehicle and several shell casings.

According to authorities, medical staff pronounced the man dead shortly after he arrived at Sinai Hospital.
There have been at least two fatal shootings in this particular corner of Pimlico in recent years.
Police records show that each of these shootings resulted in two fatalities.
According to police records, on June 24, 2020, a 49-year-old man and a 38-year-old man were gunned down at the 5300 block of Winner Avenue — the next block down.
According to the authorities, the 49-year-old did not survive his injuries.
Last year, on July 18, 2019, two men were shot and killed in the 5300 block of Maple Avenue, according to police records.
Both men were taken to Sinai Hospital. According to the authorities, medical personnel pronounced her dead shortly after her arrival.
That shooting took place on the same block where police believe four men were shot dead on Saturday.
