The Green Bay Packers have an important season. Here are three ways they can avoid disaster.

The Green Bay Packers they seem to have had their best chance of making it to Super Bowl 56 after MVP-play from Aaron Rodgers and best record in the NFL. However, they won one of the two playoffs after being beaten 13-10 by the San Francisco 49ers in the Division Round.

This season, they have to figure out what happens to Rodgers and how to free up limited space to fill the 53-man roster. It looks bleak, but packers have ways to avoid a disastrous season. Here are three things the Packers office, led by general manager Brian Gutekunst, should do.

3. Convincing Aaron Rodgers to stay in Green Bay

This goes without saying, but the Packers need Rodgers back for the 2022 season at least.

Rodgers had a long run last season, but the two sides have agreed to terms on a restructured contract that will allow them to reevaluate things after the 2021 campaign. Sure, Rodgers has played a key role in the team’s success, as he won the NFL MVP for the second year in a row and the fourth in his career.

After the team was eliminated, Rodgers has said several times that he will soon make a decision about his future. Rodgers said that meetings with the previous office went better compared to last year, that’s a plus for the Packers.

Perhaps most importantly, the team must emphasize that Rodgers’ best chance of winning the Super Bowl is in Green Bay. NFC is relatively open, especially when Tom Brady retires. The only real favorite place to represent the convention during the Super Bowl is the Los Angeles Rams. When looking at the AFC, it is extremely competitive with the likes of Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals and Tennessee Titans.

Bringing Rodgers back is the first step in the right direction for the team this season.
