Teams are starting to despair for the Giants to bring in Rodón, especially with him under contract until next season. Here are three teams the Giants need to call about Rodón now.
3 teams the Giants should contact about Carlos Rodón
1) Minnesota Twins
On the season, the Minnesota Twins have a 4.20 ERA for the pitcher, ranking 19th in baseball. As of July 1, their starters have an ERA of 6.80, which equates to 28th in the sport. Despite this, the club has a 53-47 record and a two-game lead over the Cleveland Guardians for first place in the AL Central.
Since the club picked Devin Smeltzer to Triple-A St. Paul two weeks ago, the club has not had a left-handed starting pitcher.
The twins are also well acquainted with Rodón, as he was with division rivals Chicago White Sox for parts of seven seasons.
