3 teams can use Amari Cooper if he is traded

The Dallas Cowboys and Amari Cooper seem to be at a crossroads. Cooper is about to experience his worst season as Cowboy and may be on the move soon. He’s expected to make $20 million, but that’s not guaranteed until March 20.

Should the Cowboys decide to switch from Cooper, here are three teams that would greatly benefit from his presence.

Chicago Bears

With Justin Fields as the current starter, Chicago needs to devote all of its resources to helping him become the best full-back possible. Allen Robinson is a free agent, so someone like Cooper would be a great replacement or addition to the roster and certainly help Fields grow as a player.

The Bears’ offense was pitiful last season. However, with Cooper, Darnell Mooney and Robinson back with new coaching staff in place, Chicago could have one of the best trios in the league.

Bears need help everywhere, but getting weapons on the Fields should come first.

Los Angeles charger

If there’s anything the Cincinnati Bengals have proven over the past year, it’s that teams should have the best players available and make sure their quarterbacks have the weapons to throw. The charger should follow that philosophy. With fierce competition from the AFC West, Justin Herbert needed as many weapons as possible to compete with the division and conference.

Mike Williams looks like he’s going to have a breakout season and then start free agency. Keenan Allen is still a good pick, but he’s not the superhuman, No. 1 cash collector he used to be. Cooper would provide that unit with some veterans presence and another legitimate option.

Cleveland Browns

I don’t know how much the Browns trust Baker Mayfield, but if they’re going to keep him, he needs help. He will need the game to be as simple as possible for best readability. Cooper will make that happen. Mayfield tried to ruin Odell Beckham Jr.’s career, so if he did the same to Cooper, the Browns would know what the problem was.

Browns is built on running game and action passes. This would be a great situation for Cooper. He won’t have to do too much and can do the “play” when needed.

Cleveland had a good roster. Cooper will help bring it to the top.

Mention of Honor: Philadelphia Eagles

While the Cowboys would never trade a player as good as Cooper for a squad opponent, the Eagles could always use a different receiver.
