That Yanks Gerrit Cole isn’t just the Yankees’ ace, he’s widely regarded as one of the best pitchers of this generation.
Cole was so good he even had a 59-42 record over five years with the Pittsburgh Pirates in the middle of the last decade.
That was five years ago, however, and after two seasons in Houston, where he dominated the American League, Cole’s stint in New York in his third year with the Bronx Bombers could go the wrong way.
The Yankees are entering the postseason with an offensive juggernaut that’s terrorizing opposing pitchers and fan bases alike, but the question remains whether Aaron Boone can trust Cole in October.
Gerrit Cole has been under attack from low-tier opponents lately
