Gerrit Cole’s struggles throughout the season could put Yankee skipper Aaron Boone in a tight spot next October.

That was five years ago, however, and after two seasons in Houston, where he dominated the American League, Cole’s stint in New York in his third year with the Bronx Bombers could go the wrong way.

The Yankees are entering the postseason with an offensive juggernaut that’s terrorizing opposing pitchers and fan bases alike, but the question remains whether Aaron Boone can trust Cole in October.
