3 standout players from early Packers training camp that fans can’t ignore

It may be early in Green Bay Packers’ training camp, but these three players excelled.

The entire NFL is in the middle of training camp as all 32 teams prepare for the upcoming season. For the Green Bay packersthey’re trying to cement their status as one of the top teams in the NFC while also grappling with an exodus of talent.

The past year did not end the way Green Bay had envisioned. They had the highest record in the league, earning a first-round bye in the playoffs. Apparently, they looked like the favorites to make it to Super Bowl 56. Instead, they were limited to 10 points by the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round and were eliminated.

While it’s still early in training camp, fans will be hearing rumors of players excelling on their respective teams. Here are three players who excelled for the Packers.

3.DL TJ Slaton

One name that has caused quite a stir so early in camp is second-year defenseman TJ Slaton.

The Packers used their fifth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft for the Florida defenseman. He played in all 17 games of the regular season last year, where he recorded 23 combined tackles and one sack.

In training camp, Slaton is a name that has popped up on Twitter from those covering drills. Paul Bretl of Dairyland Express noted that Slaton took some first-team representatives with him during Family Night practice in Green Bay.

Slaton is tentatively listed as the team’s backup nose tackle, but he could grab some significant snaps in the regular season if he keeps up throughout training camp. Overall, Green Bay’s defensive line looks good for the upcoming season.
