3 players that the Knicks must pursue at the NBA Trade Deadline

Obviously New York Knicks The season did not go as planned for coaches, players and fans. Boo broke out on Saturday as the Knicks suffered yet another home loss first Denver Nuggets, who are missing most of their players, 113-99.
There are areas where the Knicks can improve, and that’s all that will start with creating a big buzz at Trading Term. The Knicks’ biggest concern is going out and finding someone who can score 25 to 30 points a night. Julius Randle is a great player, but not someone you can count on to give you 30 points a night. That’s not to say he can’t be second choice for this Knicks team, and that’s exactly what they need him to be. They have found some success this season from the likes of Alec Burks, Immanuel Quickley and Obi Toppin. These are all great guys who can help a team win a championship, but they can’t be the ones to rely on every night.
They had an interesting season that included attracting some people they might have paid too much for. Evan Fournier is another good player who can stick with most teams in the NBA due to his being a high level three-pointer. The problem with Fournier is that he may not be worth the $80 million the Knicks gave him. Kemba Walker was also brought in this season and it was clear he was not the right man for the job as coach Tom Thibodeau sat him and said he would not be looking for minutes in the rotation.
The Knicks are in dire need of a guy who can be the first scoring option in the championship lineup and help bring home the championship to Garden. Let’s take a look at three players the Knicks should be chasing at the trade deadline.
The three players the Knicks should target on the trade deadline
3. Fox De’Aaron
This will make a lot of sense for the Knicks. Fox is probably the most underrated player in the NBA because he plays for Sacramento Kings. All this guy does is score goals and he has very little side help. He is also only 23 years old and he could be a franchise player for the next 5 years 10 years. During the season, he averaged 20.3 points per game while shooting 44% away.
He’s not exactly the guy the Knicks want to be their first choice, but with those around him, they could be a very tough team to beat in the Eastern Conference knockouts.

His speed, velocity with arguably the best ball the NBA has seen in a very long time. He creates open shots for many of his teammates and will get the Knicks’ wide view from the 3-point range. Sacramento is a team that has struggled over the past few seasons and they can look to buy as many young players and draft picks as possible for a few of their players. It would make sense if they didn’t decide to trade Fox and could switch to trading Buddy Hield instead, but if they are willing to trade Fox, the Knicks need to make a move for him.
Damian Lillard
How many more years will Lillard have to compete at the highest levels without getting anything from his teammates? Not only does he perform at the highest levels, but he does it on the biggest stages as well. Getting to Madison Square Garden is never an easy task for anyone, but Lillard will do it easily as he has proven throughout his career that he can play anywhere. where and as good as he always has been.
There’s not much to explain about Damian Lillard, he’s a top 10 NBA player and he’s going to be exactly what the Knicks need. His asking price may be high, but if the Knicks can get him and not have to give up Julius Randle, they need to make the move.
He could come and make this Knicks team an instant contender just because of how good he is. He has been linked with the Knicks several times and fans are hoping that he will end up in the Knicks shirt soon.
The town of Karl-Anthony
Karl-Anthony Towns has also been on the Knicks’ sights for quite some time. He is a homegrown child who will be welcomed into the Garden with open arms.
This is not the guard the Knicks might want but he is still an elite scorer, who has averaged 24 points per game this season while also picking up nine rebounds. We’ve seen in the NBA over the past 10 seasons that it doesn’t take a point guard to be a team’s top scorer. Karl-Anthony Towns is a guy capable of leading a team to a championship.
The Knicks have had a disappointing season. Many people feel that this is the year they will be able to make it through to round one, but that’s not the case right now. They are having Fight winning games at Madison Square Garden, that’s something they need to capitalize on because it’s definitely the hardest place to play in the NBA. If they want to run in the knockout stages, they need to do at the Trade Deadline to win an elite scorer.
