3 people escape sinking boat in Canton harbor, says Fire Union – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Three people were able to escape to the pier after a boat they were on began sinking in Canton Harbor, the Baltimore Fire Department said.

Baltimore Firefighters IAFF Local 734 tweeted Thursday that a port rescue was taking place near Lighthouse Point Marina in the 2700 block of Lighthouse Point. The three boaters were able to get to the pier unharmed after the boat sank.

It is unclear why the boat sank. The crime scene was turned over to the Maryland Natural Resources Police.
