OAKLAND (CBS SF) – Police recently arrested three adults and one minor as suspects in more than a dozen armed robberies in Oakland this month, authorities announced Wednesday.
The suspects were involved in at least 16 armed robberies in Oakland between January 9 and January 14.
On October 14, Oakland police said a armed robbery was reported at the 2100 block of 47th Ave. in the city’s Fairfax neighborhood, in which two armed men got out of a red Honda Civic and robbed two victims.
Later that evening, police said officers saw the suspect vehicle and tried to tow it over. Instead, the red Honda took off and led the officers in a brief chase. The chase ended and three adults and a minor got out of the vehicle and were taken into custody.
A gun was recovered during the arrest, police said. None of the suspects have been identified.
Police said the investigation was ongoing and asked anyone with information to contact the department’s Robbery Division at (510) 238-3326.
