2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tips, odds, field: Surprising PGA predictions from a model that hit 8 majors

The PGA Tour is making its third stop in California in as many weeks with the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Teeing off on Thursday, three different courses will be played for the first three days before the final round is played at Pebble Beach Golf Links. Celebrities expected to attend and make up the amateur portion of the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am include Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen and Bill Murray.
As for the pros, Jordan Spieth is the 9-1 favorite according to the latest AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2023, and he won that event in 2017. Other top contenders in the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am field include Matt Fitzpatrick (10-1), Viktor Hovland (10-1), and defending champion Tom Hoge (17-1). Before you secure your 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am picks, be sure to check out the golf predictions and predicted rankings on SportsLine’s trusted computer model.
SportsLine’s proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model has gained over $8,600 on its best bets since the reboot, nailing tournament after tournament.
McClure’s model predicted that Jon Rahm would finish at the top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. The model also included JT Poston in his best bets to win the 2022 John Deere Classic. That bet reached +5500, and for the entire tournament, McClure’s best bets brought in nearly $1,100. At the 2022 Masters, McClure’s model was centered around Scottie Scheffler’s first major championship win of his career heading into the weekend.
Additionally, among McClure’s best bets was Collin Morikawa’s overall win at the 2021 Open Championship, despite being listed as a massive 40-1 long shot. The model was also featured throughout Jon Rahm’s (10-1) first major championship win of his career at the 2021 US Open. Rahm was two strokes away from the lead going into the weekend, but the model still predicted him as the winner.
The same model also nailed a whopping eight majors over the weekend. Everyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.
Now that the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am field is on hold, SportsLine has simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Now go to SportsLine to see the projected leaderboard.
Top 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Predictions
A big surprise awaits the model at the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am: Hoge, the defending champion and one of the favorites at 17-1, stumbles this week and doesn’t even crack the top-5. Hoge secured his first and only win on the PGA Tour with an impressive performance in 2022, yarding three of his last five holes to beat Spieth by two shots.
However, Hoge has been extremely inconsistent on the green this season. In fact, Hoge enters this week’s event ranked 197th in strokes won: around the green (-.502). Additionally, he has finished T-32 or worse on two consecutive starts after placing third in the Sentry Tournament of Champions. He’s not a strong pick to win everything, and there are far better stats in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2023 field.
Another surprise: Andrew Putnam, a 31-1 longshot, makes a strong run to the title. Putnam narrowly missed out on winning his second PGA Tour event at last year’s Pebble Beach Pro-Am as he tied at the top after three rounds before finishing sixth. He’s been on an exceptional run since mid-2022, making the cut in each of his last 14 PGA Tour starts.
Putnam’s success was spurred on by his exquisite precision with each racquet in his hands. He is in the top 20% of the tour for both driving accuracy percentage (65.04%) and greens percentage (71.94%). This has allowed him to record the 12th best scoring average (69.70) on the PGA Tour, with the 5th most birdies (161). Putnam’s momentum and history on this course make it an underrated play for 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am betting. See who else you can pick here.
How to create 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am picks
The model also targets three other golfers at odds of 24-1 or better who will make surprise runs, including a massive 48-1 longshot. Anyone betting on these longshots could make it big. You can only see the model’s PGA picks here.
