The Eagles need Wentz to play 75% of the Colts’ offensive plays this season to make the pick first pick in next year’s draft, a mark Indianapolis is on track to achieve Sunday in Houston.
A second-rounder can also become a first-round pick if Wentz plays 70% fewer catches but the Colts go to the knockout stages.
Currently, Wentz has played 747 of the Colts’ 759 strikes this season – 98%. The Colts average about 63 plays per game, giving them a starting run of about 1,075 plays this season. If the Colts maintain such an average in their last five games, Wentz could surpass the 75% mark by playing every second on Sunday.
Wentz, 28, has thrown 2,790 yards this season with 21 touches and five interceptions. The Colts entered the game on Sunday 6-6.
