1 person hospitalized, 1 person in custody in Eagle Street shooting, Baltimore Police say – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – One man was hospitalized and another was taken into custody Thursday following a shooting in southern Baltimore, authorities said.
Officers were on patrol at about 1:17 p.m., when they heard gunshots, which led them to the 1800 block of Eagle Street, where they discovered a man who had been shot multiple times, Baltimore Police said. said.

The unidentified victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately known, but police described his injuries as serious.

Police said a person of interest was arrested after he fled the scene of the shooting with a handgun.
